New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
In the years that I have lived in this community, I have volunteered for numerous local groups, served on School Advisory Council for the Flagler Palm Coast High School, been a member of the Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee, Past Board Member of Kindervision as well as the Flagler Family Life Center. As a local realtor specializing in commercial and residential real estate, I have experienced the inner workings of the local government. I see that there are areas that could be improved such as:
-
Create a Business-friendly attitude
-
Focus on economic development to bring jobs to the area
-
Sports and recreation expansion
-
Cap on tax increases for the residential homes & commercial developments
-
Streamline expenditures by reviewing line items
-
Prepare for economic challenges from the effects of the global pandemic
Having grown up in Washington DC, I learned about government administration through several internships in the United States Senate Policy Committee. In 1975, I graduated from Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, then on to Fordham University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and French, 1979. Career endeavors included 20 years working in Fortune 100 firms in New York: New York Life Insurance Real Estate and Mortgage Loan Department, American Express, Citibank, United Artists Theatres and Dunkin Donuts Baskin Robbins. After years of commercial real estate transactions, I returned to schooling and received my designation as a CCIM-Certified Commercial Investment Member of the CCIM Institute, Chicago, IL.
My business experience in negotiation and problem solving I will apply to the review of the departments in the City Hall, the individual budgets per division and the application of rules. I ask for your financial support in this endeavor. Your financial support will give the funds to engage avenues to communicate to voters. I hope to raise $20,000 to meet those needs. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Contributions may be made to the website as well: www.Cornelia4PalmCoast.com.
Thank you for your friendship and support,
Cornelia Downing Manfre, CCIM
